Contrary to popular belief, the installation of zebra blinds is quite simple and takes as little as fifteen minutes. You will need a screwdriver or a drill gun, and a level or a tape to measure.
HOW TO INSTALL ZEBRA BLINDS
Get started with your installation
The first important step before installing zebra blinds is to take the exact measurements of the area where you want to install your window blind. The measures you take will be different depending on if an inside or outside mount installation. The steps for correctly measuring your window are explained in our how to measure section. It will ensure a perfect fit for your custom window treatment in your décor following receipt of your new window covering.
Before you order your blind, particularly for inside mount installation, make sure there is enough depth to your window frame for the installation. Cassettes typically measure 2 ¾” in depth so you will need to take that into account for installation.
Zebra Blinds : Inside mount installation
For installation inside the frame, screw the brackets on each side to the top of the window frame. Then, all you have to do is affix the cassette containing the blind by opposing it with a simple and slight movement from back to front.
The last step is to screw the tensioners that connect the chain to the zebra blind inside the frame. To do this, simply screw the tensioner to the window frame using the screws.
Zebra Blinds : Outside mount installation
For installation outside the frame, the installation procedure is essentially the same as an inside mount. You have to screw the brackets on the window frame or directly on the wall according to the desired location.
If installing on the wall, it is recommended to use a level or tape measure in order to ensure that the two brackets are installed at the same height. You must then affix the cassette from back to front on the brackets with a simple and light movement. Finally, the tensioners that connect the chain to the blind must be screwed inside the frame.
Fixtures, screws and tensioner and instruction sheets are provided in the box with your order. The color of the hardware is matched to the color of your chosen fabric making it barely noticeable once installed.
