During the day this shade offers little privacy, but provides visibility to the outside however. Our shades have up to an additional 12 inches of fabric in height in order to conceal the roller tube
Minimum depth required for inside mount: 1 3/4”
Minimum distance required for installation on the ceiling: 2”
Inside mount installation: do not make any deductions. The manufacturer will be sure to deduct for a perfect fit. The width of the fabric will be approximately 1/2’’ less than the actual measurement to account for the roller mechanism.
Outside mount installation: the width of the valance will be the measurement provided in your order and the fabric will be approximately 5/8” less on each side. If, for example, the space to be covered is 60”, it is recommended to order 64” (being an additional 2” on each side) to ensure that the entire frame is covered, avoiding any gaps that would allow the light to shine through.
